Cityscape Condos for Sale – Sarasota

Cityscape

Cityscape at Courthouse Centre, though built in 2005, is one condominium which cannot be overshadowed even by newer downtown Sarasota condos for sale.

At the outset, Cityscape’s development was hailed as a standout in the city core. The condominium building’s contemporary style stood out as a showcase to the world-renowned Sarasota School of Architecture a.k.a. Sarasota Modern. This design came not only as a welcome departure from Mediterranean architecture prevalent in the downtown but also offered a live‒work environment which helped revitalize its district.

All-Penthouse Units

Cityscape

Cityscape’s development sought to maximize the potential of the property’s strategic location which is just across the Sarasota Courthouse Centre. As a mixed-use condominium, it provides 10 floors, with its first two levels devoted to commercial space. Parking spaces took the next four, and the following two levels were for offices. The residential condos—all penthouses—occupied the top two floors.

Totaling 19 residences in all, these condo units are designed with floor areas of between 1,270 and 2,460 square feet, featuring two to four bedrooms. Recent market activity on Cityscape condos for sale revolved around listings priced in the $400s and the $500s.

Inviting Loft Layouts

All Cityscape units are airy and inviting in their two-story loft layouts. Their living and dining areas flaunt a wall of windows allowing scenic views of Sarasota Bay, the downtown and its tree-lined neighborhoods. The units exude a high-tech look with the exposed air-conditioning ducts in their spacious living rooms.

In addition, the condos have roomy terraces conducive to dining, raising a mini garden or just plain relaxing. Cityscape units are suitable as an office or studio as they have individual outside stairways aside from those within each condo.

Carpeted floors and ceramic tiles are standard features in Cityscape’s penthouses. Their provided appliances are of contemporary design, with brushed stainless steel finishes. One or two parking spaces and a secure storage unit are bundled with each residence.

Abundant In-house Facilities

The condo’s residents can likewise avail of their building’s concierge services. Other in-house amenities include a conference room, a day spa, and the Mediterraneo restaurant which set up a gourmet cafe on the ground floor.

Near this outdoor dining area, the contemporary character of Cityscape is in full display at its courtyard entry to the lobby. Prominent in this entrance is a commissioned, 20-foot sculpture by the famed artist John Kennedy.

Lively Neighborhood Dynamics

Cityscape

Downtown attractions near Cityscape are plenty. Across Main Street, the iconic Main Plaza/Hollywood 20 is set for redevelopment following the takeover of new owners in 2015. This eight-acre complex has been renamed BBC Main Street to banner efforts to make it a “keystone of downtown.”

Two blocks southeast of the condominium, Payne Park has a tennis center with 12 Har-Tru courts and superb support facilities as well as regular programs and activities for players of all levels. Towles Court, a charming artist community at Adams Lane, is also walking distance south of Ringling Boulevard. Each third Friday of the month, an arts walk is held here, to further enliven the lifestyle offered at Cityscape.
