The aphorism “good things come in pairs” holds quite true for the adjacent communities of San Remo and Granada that both feature delightful properties in the Sarasota real estate market. Residences that are either situated at the bay front or near the waterfront are among the prime attractions of these two neighborhoods. The San Remo real estate development, in particular, lies adjacent to Roberts Bay, and Sarasota Bay is just across the Siesta Drive drawbridge at the northern side of the community.

Their designs include those of Old Florida bungalows and more contemporary architectural renditions. The least priced in a listing of homes for sale in Granada usually are those residences that have been updated extensively to incorporate modern conveniences. These can be priced around the $200s and feature two to three bedrooms and floor spaces from about 770 square feet to 1,970 square feet. The top option in this community can be on a residence with luxurious updates as shown in an asking price of $1.15 million, five bedrooms and four baths in its floor area of nearly 3,500 square feet.

These San Remo/Granada properties are lumped along with premier communities that are “West of the Trail.” This is in allusion to real estate developments located west of the Tamiami Trail. Besides their proximity to the bay front and the beaches, there is a concentration of excellent shops, restaurants, and schools in the area for the neighborhoods’ convenience.

A sampling of such establishments around these properties can truly whet interest for homes in the San Remo/Granada real estate. For varied dining pleasures, available within a few blocks from the community are Shakespeare’s English Pub and Restaurant, Oasis Café, and the J-Pan Restaurant and Sushi Bar. Shopping is as easy at the nearby Bloomin’ Belles, in addition to the trendy boutiques at the Westfield Southgate Shopping Mall, also easily accessible from the twin community.
