The Grande is the third in a trilogy of condominium towers banner to the luxury Ritz-Carlton lifestyle in downtown Sarasota. This new tower is set for construction in spring 2017 and follows up on the upscale condo living that Ritz-Carlton Sarasota and Ritz-Carlton Residences brought to the north downtown bayfront in 2001 and 2003.

The Grande at the Ritz-Carlton Residences is located at 1121 Ritz-Carlton Drive a short distance west of its two predecessors. This new condominium is being developed by the West Palm Beach-based Kolter Group, which has also launched recently several other downtown Sarasota condos for sale nearby.

Classic Waterfront Tower

The new Ritz-Carlton residential tower is planned for 19 floors. For its design, Kolter hired the award-winning SB Architects of San Francisco. A waterfront theme forms as the foundation of the Grande’s conceptual design.

The building is set for a north and south orientation so that residents will have east- and west-facing views of Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The Grande will be built over the Ritz hotel’s support facility adjacent east of the hotel building.

Kolter acquired the air space rights from the developer of Ritz-Carlton, Slab LLC, earlier in February 2016. Completion of the Grande building is expected in about 26 months.

Opulent living trademark to a five-star hotel are evident in the amenities coming up at the Grande. These luxury condo features include an owners’ lounge called “The News Room,” an ultra-modern fitness center, and a rooftop, 70-foot infinity edge swimming pool with 360-degree views of the bay, the gulf, and the city.

The staff services and facilities of the neighboring Ritz-Carlton hotel will also be available to the Grande residents. These added come-ons include valet and concierge services, in-residence dining, and access to the restaurants, spa and salon at the 17-story hotel. Additional perks can be availed of with a membership to Ritz-Carlton’s golf club in Lakewood Ranch and to the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club in Lido Key.

The combination of the Grande’s distinctive architecture, opulent amenities, and upscale services is aimed at filling a perky demand for contemporary luxury Sarasota condos for sale. The condominium will have a total of 86 condo units, pre-construction selling for which started around the second quarter of 2016.

The price points of these sales listings start at the $1.9‒$2.5 million range. These are quoted for condos with living areas of between 2,700 and 3,000+ square feet designed with three bedrooms and three baths plus a half bath.

The prime offering at the Grande is its two-level penthouse which will occupy the building’s 18th and 19th floors. It has a total floor area of 7,439 square feet, featuring four bedrooms, four baths, and a half bath.

Every residence at the Grande will have a private elevator opening directly into their spacious open floor plans with modern kitchens. Their architectural details, interior features and finishes include soaring ceilings, glass walls, sprawling private terraces, and lavish bedroom suites that all sum up the extravagant lifestyle offered by the Grande.
