The Vue condominium is a celebration of the chic new urban lifestyle that has been generating a lot of buzz in Sarasota real estate market since it started construction in September 2014. Slated to be finished sometime in 2017, this upscale condo project consists of 141 units within an 18-story building. Total development cost has been projected at $300 million which likewise covers the establishment of a Westin Hotel to be housed in an adjacent 18-story structure with 255 rooms.

Buyers’ reaction to the marketing activities for the Vue condos for sale has been very positive. As of February 2015, half of the condominium’s units were reported already pre-sold, generating expected revenue of more than $85 million. Standard Vue units are available in fourteen floor plans which measure up to 2,605 square feet. The condo’s penthouses have six floor plans with their designs reaching up to 3,085 square feet. The prices of standard condo units start from the $800s and those for penthouses at $2 million.

Recent publicity, both in mainstream and in new online media has been favorable for the Sarasota real estate sector, especially for luxury properties like the Vue. The Financial Times of London, for instance, observed in a recent feature that Sarasota and some other smaller U.S. cities are proving to be strong magnets for wealthy home buyers. The moneyed class, the paper notes, is drawn to these offbeat destinations for being “discreetly upmarket” and taking pride in their distinctive assets, such as unique meaning and character coupled with distinctive amenities and upscale residential properties.

Luxury condos for sale such as those at the Vue also appear getting tailwinds from the increasing Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) traffic to and from major cosmopolitan cities. Added seasonal flights for SRQ include the New York-Sarasota routes of Delta Air and United Airlines, plus the new summer flights of Air Canada between the local airport and Toronto. Opening more flights and drawing more airlines to SRQ, both domestic and international, is enhanced by ongoing upgrades at the airport which in 2015 received $9.1 million in total grants from the Federal Aviation Administration to finance various improvement projects.

The increasing popularity of the Sarasota luxury home market is further demonstrated by its inclusion the world’s ten “jewel box” communities as listed recently by Christie’s International, the luxury real estate unit of the fine art auction house, Christie’s. Sarasota joined cities like Jackson Hole and Martha’s Vineyard in this list of home-buying destinations that attract the wealthy.

For Vue condos, in particular, handsome dividends are apparently being delivered by a well-planned and aggressive marketing program utilizing not only the traditional print and broadcast media but also Internet resources. One standout among these marketing tools is a flyover animation of the Vue condo rendered in computer-generated imagery (CGI) of how this downtown bayfront condo would look like upon completion. At the techie sales office of the VUE, there’s also a giant CGI wall that can show to interested buyers exactly what the view would be from each floor.
