Turtle Cove Condos for Sale – Siesta Key

Turtle Cove

Turtle Cove is a small neighborhood of just seven condo townhomes at 9000 Midnight Pass Road. Rarely available amongst Siesta Key condos for sale, these residential units are housed in a three-story building constructed in the early 1980s.

Market listings of Turtle Cove condos for sale would appeal mostly to prospective buyers who prefer a tranquil and scenic setting. These townhouses are located at the southern end of Midnight Pass Road, a quieter section of Siesta Key, and these residences back up to the picturesque Blind Pass Lagoon as well.

This lagoon is notably popular amongst kayakers and recreational fishermen. It also counts as one of the local water bodies preserved and protected under the Sarasota Bay National Estuary Program and the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Surface Water Improvement and Management Program.

Value of Beach Makeover

Turtle Cove

The recent beach renourishment in Siesta Key has also helped enhance values of Turtle Cove condos for sale. This project, which was implemented at a $21.5 million cost, expanded the condominium’s neighboring Turtle Beach by some 150 feet and added more than an acre of dune vegetation as a buffer against erosion.

This beach, popular for shell collecting, is less crowded than its northern counterparts, Siesta and Crescent Beach. A stroll here can likewise extend farther south to the Midnight Pass channel between Siesta Key and Casey Key. This channel has been filled with sand to allow pedestrian traffic between the two islands.

Besides the beach near this condominium, other attractions in its locality include the Turtle Beach Park with picnic areas, a volleyball court, a playground, and horseshoe pit. The park also has boat ramps within the Blind Pass Lagoon which allow easy access to and from Little Sarasota Bay.

At the Turtle Cove complex, there are boat docks too that can accommodate boats of up to 35 feet. The condominium likewise has a community pool overlooking the Blind Pass Lagoon.

Impressive Condo Layouts

Turtle Cove

Listings of Turtle Cove condos for sale are typically priced from the $600s up to the $700s. The designs of these townhouses are impressive, with their floor areas ranging from about 1,650 square feet to 2,250 square feet and their three-bedroom layouts providing magnificent water views.

A pet-friendly community, this condominium allows twice-a-year rentals at a six-month minimum per lease. Even as Turtle Cove is in the more secluded part of Siesta Key, it can compete well in the rental market. Its guests and residents can easily access other points of interest in Siesta Key, more so now that a free trolley service was launched in the island recently.

Local Points of Interest

Turtle Cove

With this service, Turtle Cove is conveniently hooked up to the shops, restaurants and entertainment venues of Crescent Plaza and Siesta Village at the mid and northern side of the island, respectively.

More life and leisure venues at the mainland can be reached as easily via Stickney Point Bridge which is a short drive northward from Turtle Cove. One of these destinations is the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall off South Tamiami Trail. Its management recently launched a program to drive consumer traffic through special events. These include concerts, carnivals, and food-truck festivals which should lend some strength as well to condos for sale at the neighboring Siesta Key.
