The Inlet

The Inlet

Are you looking for an island vacation retreat with rental possibility? If so, consider The Inlet, which many investors on Siesta Key condos for sale have found quite rewarding. What’s even more, its location makes this property a great choice not only for vacationing tourists but also for seasonal residents.

The Inlet is located at the quieter, southern part of Siesta Key, with its site at 9200 Midnight Pass Road likewise convenient to the island’s various life and leisure centers. Quite delightful for boat-loving residents and guests of the Inlet, this condominium also backs up to Blind Pass Lagoon.

Water-based Leisure

Blind Pass Kayaking Tour

Popular amongst kayakers, this lagoon enables access to and from Little Sarasota Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway offering plenty of water-based leisure activities. One nearby point of interest is the 35-acre Jim Neville Marine Preserve with lush mangroves and inlets which serve as a sanctuary for coastal birds. There’s a secluded beach to enjoy as well at this preserve’s southern edge.

For non-paddlers, the newly renourished Turtle Beach and its park facilities are walking distance from the Inlet. These easily accessible amenities include a picnic pavilion, grills, playground, outdoor showers, and restrooms.

More beach-based delights can be enjoyed with a short trip north to the top-rated Siesta Beach. Besides its vastly upgraded facilities, this beach park also regularly hosts major special events like beach volleyball and sand sculpture contests. The Siesta Village also up north further offers opportunities for shopping and dining.

As equally enticing, the Inlet’s neighborhood itself is home to some of the popular restaurants in Siesta Key. These local draws include Ophelia’s on the Bay, Millies, Turtles Beach Grill, and Turtles Restaurant.

Touristy Condo Features

Besides all these island-lifestyle lures, the Inlet exudes charms of its own. This condominium features facilities suitable for vacation getaways, such as a heated swimming pool and picnic areas for barbecue socials. Boat docks are also available for free to residents on a first-come-first-served basis.

Built in 1972 as a three-story apartment building, the Inlet is very well-maintained and remains impressive with its verdant lawns and lush tropical landscaping. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the condominium, and elevators are provided in the building as well. Parking is spacious too in front of the Inlet apartments.

The condominium has a total of 30 apartment units with many of these maintained as rentals by their owners. For this reason, not too many of Inlet apartments are listed amongst Siesta condos for sale.

Recent market activity in this condominium were on one- and two-bedroom units with living areas of between 700 and 1,122 square feet. Their pricing starts in the high $200s and levels up to the $300s for the larger condo choices. The units of the Inlet are rentable for a one-month minimum 12 times a year.

Keeping a condo in this property as an exclusive seasonal home is as desirable as well. This holds true particularly for the Inlet apartments with larger square footages. These units feature a split floor plan with spacious living areas and master bedrooms overlooking the lagoon, a perfect setting for an island hideaway at the opportune times of the year.
